This film is about the loss of someone you love and how you honor them, while learning to cope with their absence.

This story will focus on Mackenzie Mcgrath and how she continues to navigate the loss of her brother. Mackenzie is an alpinist at heart and paralleling the challenges of navigating a wall/hike with finding ways to cope with the emotional loss and grief she’s experienced throughout would be a compelling metaphor. Mackenzie would be the only interview, woven in with her climbing and general nature/beauty shots (appearing as though it’s the same climb, i.e. same clothing) and archival footage of her with her brother. The wall as a metaphor for grief is strong, as we could hone in on the fact that just like how grief never really ends, there is always another wall to climb, but you get better and better at doing it.
